Judge Linda Tucci Teodosio has served on the Juvenile Court bench overseeing delinquency and child welfare cases in Summit County (Akron), Ohio since 2003. Judge Teodosio will discuss the challenges related to effectively rehabilitating juveniles involved in the justice system for sexual offenses. Judge Teodosio will also share insights on: · how treatment providers can assist the Court while also serving their clients. · the constitutional rights of those in need of treatment and the effect those rights have on treatment of individuals in the child welfare systems. · the challenges to the Courts in dealing with the availability and use social media by juveniles who distribute and/or view sexually oriented materials involving minors.
